About

Andrew Altenbach started his practice at the Bulfinch Group in 2020 and has gained fast recognition for his success in wealth management. He has earned the Certified Financial Planner CFP®  and Retirement Income Certified Professional RICP®. For more advanced business planning, Andrew earned the Certified Exit Planner CExP™ from the Business Enterprise Institute.

Andrew studied Economics and music at Northwestern and Indiana Universities. After a successful career conducting orchestras and opera around the United States and beyond, he decided a more flexible schedule and time with family needed priority.

When Andrew is not guiding clients, he spends time with his wife and son. The family enjoys being outdoors, reading about anything and everything, and attending lots of swim meets.

Classical music still remains Andrew’s significant avocation. He is Music Director and Conductor of the Brookline Symphony Orchestra and concertizes as a pianist around Greater Boston.

A conductor must guide the varying elements of rhythm, pitch, tone, and instruments into a cohesive unit. Coordinating a comprehensive wealth plan often feels like guiding the ‘financial orchestra’ of a client’s life.
